Finally some inspiration
Ran down to starbucks with a notepad and pencil here's what came out.

uninspired

Feeling tired
Uninspired
Sit down to a cup of inspiration

It's just no good
thought you understood yea
You were the air that I breathe
and the light that I see yea

Traces,
of you in my songs

You pollute my mind yea
Like oil in the stream
that trickles through my memory

Stop,
just hold on a minute
Why do I always come back to this?
Why is this a recurring wish?

Another shot
The coffee's hot
The song stops flowing.
These words are tired
uninspired

Sarah McLachlan
Sarah McLachlan Was excellent tonight. The sound at the Bank of America Centre was supreeme. Anyone who says the Idaho center sounds better is totally full of crap. Sarah played for about an hour and a half. and almost all the songs were classic Mclachlan.

The Openers, a sweedish group called the Perishers Complimented Sarah's style. I bought their CD and got it signed ...cool

Inspiration
The show at the Bucket was a lot of fun

Got there at 7:00 just before they kicked us all out side in the rain while they did their sound check Pissed me off but I understand the zen behind sound checks so I took the free drink and stepped outside with the lesbians. Yes I said lesbians and lots of them. I knew Rebecca had a lesbian following but I guess Garrison and Mellissa are both rainbows too. What a fun group.

8:40 the music starts....

Rebecca Scott was good she has a real talent for guitar, but I have to say her voice is just too squeaky for my taste. I can never tell what the hell she is singing about.

Garrison Starr was all I hoped she would be. I have never seen her live and I have to say unlike a lot of artists, she translates her music well to live acoustic. There was a lot of people talking over the music and Garison was a bit perturbed but she put on a strong performance despite the interuptions. I bought her new CD and she signed it for me.

Mellissa Ferick was un-hinged! fabulous high energy. You could tell she was completely lost in her performance. She could have been in a coffee shop playing fo 10 people or in front of 20,000 people and I don't think she would have noticed.

All in all, way better than the Sting concert last week.
I went home inspired with a renewed drive to write songs. Maybe listening to others play can me my muse.

Garrson Starr and Mellissa Ferick
So I'm at lunch today at the begal shop and there is a flyer on the table. 2 of my favorite indie artists are playing at the Bucket tonight. Guess who is going to the show on a work night?
Writer's Block
Same shit another day. What I need is some sort of muse. I am getting out more which is a good thing. Being cramped up is so stiffeling to the creativity. But still I need to feel something before I can translate it to song. Seems my best stuff comes from true emotions. But I don't want to mix it up either. I have a pretty safe life right now. So what I need is some sort of muse. an inspriational website? podcast? maybe just more quality time with my guitar? meditation? I don't know. Maybe I just need to write about nothing... maybe this blog is the catalyst I so desire.
